I May Not Have Been A Very Good Poet

Rating: 5.0

I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN A VERY GOOD POET

I may not have been a very good poet
Not even a good poet
Not even much of a poet
Not even a poet
But I wrote the truth of my life
I wrote the truth of what my soul had to say
I wrote who I am
It may not matter to anyone
But I wrote my truth and my life
And toward the end
It is some satisfaction and consolation
To have done this

You are a poet. Those who judge or say differently are both fools and cowards. All it takes is to want to express yourself in words...and then do so. From the heart, from the soul of an individual, with truth is where poetry emerges. You are a poet.

The confessions of a poet certainly make him a great poet. Your unpretentious words tell it all: It may not matter to anyone / But I wrote my truth and my life.

Your truth and your life you wrote, yes it is the purest and most intimate thing a person has and can make others participate in. bravo to you, brave man!
