I May Not Have Been A Very Good Poet
I MAY NOT HAVE BEEN A VERY GOOD POET
I may not have been a very good poet
Not even a good poet
Not even much of a poet
Not even a poet
But I wrote the truth of my life
I wrote the truth of what my soul had to say
I wrote who I am
It may not matter to anyone
But I wrote my truth and my life
And toward the end
It is some satisfaction and consolation
To have done this
The confessions of a poet certainly make him a great poet. Your unpretentious words tell it all: It may not matter to anyone / But I wrote my truth and my life.
Your truth and your life you wrote, yes it is the purest and most intimate thing a person has and can make others participate in. bravo to you, brave man!
