I Loved You Poem by Randy McClave

I Loved You

I loved you more than you will ever know
But, your feelings you never did show,
Whenever I could I proudly held your hand
I did it as a desire, and never as a demand.
I kissed you whenever that I was allowed or could
You kissed me just to make me feel good,
I gave you help both spiritually and monetarily when needed
And never from you did it have to be pleaded.
Never unto you did I lie or cheat or abused
And never did I judge you or anyone, or falsely accused,
Of our love to the world and God I had proclaimed
Never, not once of you or us was I ever ashamed.
I remember the day that you said that you loved me
It was said not as a trick or even as a plea,
Then that night when together we went to bed
Upon my chest you peacefully and happily laid your head.
That night neither one of us slept as one,
Together we then awoke happy to the dawn
We said that we would love each other now and forever
Our ties you said, only God could sever.
Then one day you just walked out the door
Then I never saw or heard from you anymore,
When I had bragged to others about our love
Your reply to them, you didn't know who I was.
