I Love You Dear Sparrow Poem by Dr.Moula Devi

I Love You Dear Sparrow

Flutter flutter your wings
Twitter twitter you swing
Below the silver sky
Always in groups you would fly
Your colour is whitish grey
On cool days you close your eyes and pray
In the field you hip –hop
With a brown coat so tip top
You enjoy bathing in fountain
Now have you gone to the mountain?
Please call me and tell
Where now you dwell?
I love you dear sparrow
Won’t you come back tomorrow?

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A tiny, chirpy plumpy bird-“the house sparrow” has caught suddenly the attention of the world. People realized these birds and their chirp, no longer to be seen, atleast not seen frequently as before. The number of sparrows is fast dwindling.
