I LOVE KOM

I wonder how sad I would be if were not from Kom!
Will I not be like one sitting on embers?
Will I not be like a hedgehog in a snare?
For I now wade in joy because am Kom.
O Kom, the land of my father and my father's fathers!
O Kom, the land of my mother and my mother's mothers!
O Kom my home land! While walking in your streets,
I feel like am roaming the streets of paradise.
O Kom my home land! My love for you is unparalleled.
O Kom my home land! My love for you is invaluable;
And cannot be measured with any quantifier,
Weigh it even on a diamond scale and the scale will brake.
O Kom! Am bonded to you and not even the sharpest sword
Can cut the bond; for the hardest and sharpest sword
Can do nothing safe only that which a plastic blade can do to iron.
Will not death rip the love?
No! For in death I will go down under her laps
And after decomposition, I will become
Kom soil and the love will only increase.
O Kom! Your fresh water, though normal water
Tests not less than the wine of paradise;
O Kom! Your fresh water, though normal
Water, is nothing less than an antidote to me.
As long as the sky stays opened, so shall
My heart stays opened, proclaiming my love
For Kom, Forevermore I love Kom.
