I Have No Mansion Here Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

I Have No Mansion Here

I have no mansion here,
But the sun's warm and skies are blue.
I'm not rich but I have no fear
Laughter and joy pull me through.

I'm blessed with the breath of a morning breeze,
I love the feel of white sand on my toes.
There is no cold weather that would make me freeze
I can ride the wave where it goes.

Food is so natural, just straight from a tree.
Life is so simple and quite basic.
My place is where I can live so free-
A place of serenity, love and music.

Perhaps it's not ritzy, oh like Paris!
Or as royal in grandeur as London,
But my countryside brings so much bliss
What is lacking? I can find none.
