I Have Loved You Poem by Colin Ian Jeffery

I Have Loved You

I have loved you for many years
And should you die before me
There would such grief I could not bear
Because after you entered my life
There was only the importance of you
Making you happy as you make me.

Without you there would be such loneliness
Light banished leaving only darkness
No more sun and moon nor twinkling stars
Only memories of loving you
With silence of the sweetness of your voice
And knowing you were the love of my life.
