I Have A Sister Poem by Wali Jamali

I Have A Sister

Rating: 5.0

Every Morning,
When i open up my eyes
Love-wrapped whispers greet me.

In the grim moments of the day
The unseen power of her love guards me.
She wards off all ominious un-cannies
With her pitched supplications.

She bleeds in my love.
She flies in my love.
She blossoms in my love.

Lo and Behold! I have a sister.
As sweet as a Raspberry.
As gentle as morning breeze.
The un-matched is her love for me
And none equals to my Adi.

*Adi: Sindhi substitute for sister.

Dedicated To Sweetest Shah Bano.

Poetry is a kind of virtue, possessing love and only love...I always thought that brothers were more loving towards sisters but after reading these I feel from the deepest core of my heart I realised that both are complementary to each other..I dont have a sister so never felt the need and was never convinced with myself...nor do I have a brother..but there was always an aching for him..these lines were so touchy for me...you made me cry all the way: -) thanks a lot for sharing this..wonderful job a 10 Take care Love Gul
