I Hate You Very Much Poem by Amitava Sur

I Hate You Very Much

Rating: 5.0

Whenever I remember now
I hate you very much.

I hate you for only a reason -
Why you loved me so much.

But so to say - that hatred even
I convey by loving you as much.

I know you to love only
You might be knowing it of course.

You are my love, with which I live -
And your intimate love is all my force.

But you turned your face leaving me alone
Throwing me in a dark.

You left me alone, I'm shedding my tears,
With an utter cry, I search you dear.

But I find your image in those drops of tear,
I feel you in my blood.

Where ever I move or stay
I search you there.

I love you, I hate you…
I miss you so much.

I feel you, I need you ….
I love you so much.

Introspective but pessimistic perhaps! But your love is tested here like metal is tested in fire and hope you will soon get back to a world of liking for her whom your mouth hates, mouth alone.

Saddest thing in life is loosing some one that you love so dearly. Loving poem of deep sentiments.

Beautiful poem. Sir, your poem started with the words, I hate you very much, but ended beautiful with I love you very much. This itself indicates that there is profound love in the word hate itself. Though you uttering hate but inside your heart was uttering only love. So much of love between you two. Sir, if possible please do share some beautiful memories which you both have shared in your life. We readers will love to read them. Thanks for sharing with us. Loved reading it.

This poem feels like pieces of a heart scattered about, they cannot be put back together. Hating that this has happened to someone you love, hating the fact that she has left you alone on earth. Only your love for her transcends even the hate. Missing her, wanting her, feeling her within your own heart, only makes her loss that more intense than ever. A very poignant and intense portrayal of a deep and abiding love. Your love having been tested by death and not found wanting at all! I give you 100 - 10's, Amitava! Splendid poem of love! Thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn

if valsa george's comment serves as a factual poet's note, i can now say that i understand the poem better. i didn't really get the feel of someone having died, which is what i now think happened. but i'm not sure if i'm correct. I know you to love only ..............is that supposed to be to or too? ============= : Throwing me in a dark. ............here in u.s. i would write the dark. With an utter cry, I search you dear. utter sounds strange to me here; i don't think it (quite) fits the definition of utter. of course you have poetic license. and i would put for between search and you, if i'm understanding your meaning. - - - - - - - - - - - - - these lines i felt were the most compelling: But I find your image in those drops of tear, I feel you in my blood. ...............very nice. - - - - - - Where ever I move or stay I search you there. i believe i've noticed other indian and british poets on PH using where ever where i would use wherever. i guess we just speak differently. - - - - - - - - - - thanks for sharing. bri :)

...............a wonderful poem expressing your emotions....our loved ones we shall never forget...not even to our dying day...even if we are parted from them near or far....or even by death....we shall never lose the love we feel for them....never shall we ever forget them...will time heal? ...I am not so sure...will time ease the pain? ....maybe slightly....yet we can take comfort in the knowledge that God loves them more...

Sad to read that you've lost someone so very recently. Time will ease your pain.
