I Grew Poem by Vera Sidhwa

I Grew

I cried,
I whined, I sobbed, I did.
But to no avail.
On all this trouble I could not sit

I tried my best. I couldn't have tried harder.
It made me wonder.
My heart ran asunder.
I couldn't understand why.

My heart went crack. My joint went creak.
My leg bent over. My hand bones cracked.
I couldn't understand, what this was all about.
I couldn't understand any of this at all.

But one day the sun came out,
And cradled me in it's rays.
And all the bad things became good ways.
