I Fought Poem by Sandile mngadi.

I Fought

I am in the darkest jungle surrounded by the wild animals
They rawr make all kinds of sound
I find myself shaking of fear
The voice within me say do not cry they will see you fear and eat you
I stand still as they approach me
The wind and their breadth as they come close pushes me
I can swear i am pissing on my pants
The voice say never show sign of weakness or fear
I stand still willing to fight till my last breadth
The fight is on, let me fight my way out of the jungle
I can see i am surrounded, arms down and i can`t surrender
They can come i am ready, no fear and tears
I will fight no-matter how far civilization is,
I will fight till, i get to civilization
I will fight no-matter i can have scars of their claws
Claws that will bring memories and self question how did i survive
I will not let my guard down by surrendering to be eaten in the wild
I would n`t let my bones be crashed to these animals guts
I become a meal to these vultures
Let them reap me apart, even fight over me, while they enjoy the nature of my meat
Reaping me into pieces as if i never existed
I look into their eyes as they surround me
As they approach they look at each other
I knew then, they had fear, because no one wanted to strike first
I chose to show them that, i fear not and i am willing to fight
I took a step forward they stood and looked at me
The voice within me said don't give them anything, but take all their pride and leave non for them.
I fought till civilization
I conquered
