I Expect Good Return Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

I Expect Good Return

If I could sing
The real songs
Of love and hatred
I could have certainly led

Alas! I am unable to
This is really true
I am totally blinded
The opinion is certainly divided

It is false cover
That I take it as true shelter
I keep on suffering
As it has no peaceful offering

I expect good return
With fortune's turn
But it fails to show
I desperately think and grow

I wish that I had an art
Which could help me to part?
From darkness to light
Or from wrong to right

I find no answer
Where to go and offer
My real prayers
To seek role as follower
