I Do Despair/And Yet Do Not Somehow Despair Completely

I do despair
And yet do not somehow despair completely
Maybe perhaps and who knows how
Perhaps perhaps perhaps
Maybe maybe maybe
There might be some redemption
In the distant future
Even if I never know it

And so I write on here
A faint hope
A fool still fooling himself
A warrior against despair
With simple non-poetic words
Which say they are a poem
