I Can'T Let It Go Poem by Miranda DeNooyer

I Can'T Let It Go

You let my past burn up in flames
yet I know I'm part to blame
in my eyes you can see the shame
so i can't let it go;
Tears shed when I rethink it all
you let go and I took the fall
to feel safe, I hide behind the wall
so I can't let it go;
Now I count the days that you're gone
know that we could've held on
through it all, neather has won
so I can't let it go;
All these fights made me go insane
every work you said was in vein
this endless nothing caused us both pain
so I can't let it go;
You stood and watched my blood seep down
sometimes I wish I could just leave town
as more and more blood dips to the ground
Now its too late to let it go.
