Another Day Poem by Miranda DeNooyer

Another Day

Your legs will swing out from the covers
And you sit up in bed
Another day just like the others
The tears will not shed;
Bare feet step onto the cold, hard ground
Off is how the lights stay
Listening for nothing but a sound
Only the words you say;
Your mouth opens but no words will speak
People then pass you by
You still go on, don't know what you seek
And the truth is a lie;
You don't know and you don't really care
And thoughts go through your head
Walk in your room and do what you dare
And lay down in your bed.

i agree that life can be very empty but only if you dont have something to guide your life. but this describes perfectly a meaningless life.
