Veteran Poet - 2,918 Points (Dec 29 / Iran)

I am who I am

I am who I am

The future
Knows not
(I shall try)

From past
I will take
Few parts

Lot to say
Hear- say
Is it right?

Forefathers
The mother
And others

Some tell me
Were greats
Some, devils

Like Khayyam
My mentor or
Rumi or Hafez

I like the cash
That’s the day
Of Sun, Moon

Tomorrow
Yester-day
As if dead

Let’s go walk
Have the talk
On fine wine

That is all…

I am who I am

The future
Knows not
(I shall try)

From past
I will take
Few parts

Lot to say
Hear- say
Is it right?

Forefathers
The mother
And others

Some tell me
Were greats
Some, devils

Like Khayyam
My mentor or
Rumi or Hafez

I like the cash
That’s the day
Of Sun, Moon

Tomorrow
Yester-day
As if dead

Let’s go walk
Have the talk
On fine wine

That is all…

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
