Hudumpur 99 Poem by Pradip Saikia

Hudumpur 99

On shutting the eyes
The hands severed at the arms
Lot of pencil thin
Blood clotted fingers

On shutting the eyes
Eyes of stone

A pair of chilled hands
Beckons
From the bottomless depth of my sleep

A pair of hands
That pounces on people

Hudumpur Hudumpur
A scream in the dark thicket
