How Will You Beat It Indian Summer? Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

How Will You Beat It Indian Summer?

Sit you under the cooler shades
Of groves and orchards,
Go for a dive into the rocky ponds
Shaded into the woods
Or sit you under the shade
Of the peepul or banyan tree
Enjoying earthen-pitcher water,
Red, red water melons,
Sweet curds, sherbet,
Molasses or sugar mixed a glass of
Or salad with chutney
Or taste you an ice-cream candy.
