How Long? Poem by Paul WilsonSuffield

How Long?

To love one another is not a sin
But it is not to share, what’s stored within.
You can deny all you want, what you feel inside
But your eyes still tell what you’re trying to hide.
Each time you see me does your stomach ache?
Does your heart beat faster, and your body shake?
If this happens, let me make it clear
Its love you feel, not hate or fear.
How long will you wait till you admit how you feel?
And bring us together, for our love to seal.
How long will you pretend what you are doing is right?
How long will you lay alone each night?
Are you big enough to admit when you’re wrong?
How long must I wait, come on, how long?
