Hornet Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hornet

Hornet

Ran across many words,
Some new, strange.

One of them was hornet.

Resilient, read, remained.

Since was born human
Same was raised and trained.

But to be bare, honest,
I, hardly, have liked them.

Rarely see selfishness
In other creatures
As is in human.

Mankind kills, poisons
Destroys and claims
To be most "Intelligent! "

Truly, I suspect!

We, too, are like the ant
Of Rumi, the Persian.

An ant was on a leaf,
The leaf fell in creek,
Ant shouted:
"World is gone with flood! "

We do same…

Our world is limited,
Small leaf in creek,
And we are unaware
Of the oceans and seas.

Hornet is one of them
That we call "Hazardous, "
But add to pollution and rubbers.
