Hops Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Hops

Hops

Tiny with small wings
-they fly on twigs
-zig and zag as mirage
-going left, right and up
-when tired, joyously
-decide to wait, stop
-One on land and other
-go further but not far
-as lovers seek and hide
-they go but, not depart

I am in the movies
-like years of Drive-In
-Rock Hudson, Doris Day
-letters and, songs, dreams
-waitress came and served
-the goodies, ice-cream
-they wore tight and exposed
-but not far above knees

Suddenly the landed
-hops, takes off
-heading for the other

I murmur:
-"Is this love? "
-I say this with smile!
