Hope Poem by Einar Johan Wetaas

Hope

Rating: 5.0

Hope

Dark is the night, even stars shine so bright.
Hard is the life when there are nothing in sight.
Sorrow and darkness walk together hand in hand.
Seeking despair in every woman and man.

Seeking the weakness of a weak heart.
Corrupting our minds and brings us apart.
It pushes and pushes but always falls back.
Something is resisting that cause its setbacks.

For darkness and sorrow have fears of their own.
From the heart shines a light that will bring them both down.
Fearless and strong it shines in the dark.
A flame so small and alone but yet sets it's mark.

All of the darkness can't strangle the light.
A heart fillled with hope and fueld by faith.
Shines like a beacon in the dark night.
All through the night until the first morning light.

The smallest of hope can shine like the sun.
Bringing the darkness and sorrow on the run.
Holding your hand as you walk through the night.
Never giving up and holding you thigh.
