Homo Sapiens Non Sapiens Poem by Pedro Cescon

Homo Sapiens Non Sapiens

(Title by Rafael Memphis)

A pen to write,
About swords,
Turning wrong as right,
By mean of words,

A slap of pain,
For the very first breath,
An intent all in vain,
When there's a touch of death,

The death of a god's son,
To enforce the hallow,
That will call holy a run,
Of their sacred gallow,

The formation of state,
To protect the many,
That will have as a fate,
To cage all and any,

To seduce with the batom,
To breed with the lore,
To create with the atom,
And to use all for war,

Homo Sapiens... Oh, indeed
...
Non Sapiens
