Homeless Woman Poem by louis rams

Homeless Woman

Homeless women ( part 1 of 2
)
When we speak of the homeless, we think of men
But the women s struggles never end
Once a month they'll have their friend=
Till they're older it will never end
Cleanliness is a must and in sanitary napkins
they put their trust.
Their thoughts are always at attention looking
Out for yeast infection.
They may be supporting themselves and a child too
Give them credit where credit is due.
She may have gotten pregnant by her boyfriend or a john
And to find them after they're long gone.
They feel there can be no hesitation and using their bodies
Is their only salvation.
Let's get them off the streets a roof over their heads and food to eat.
She can ve your mother, sister, ot daughter too
Helping them is up to you.
