Home Sweet Home Poem by Bill Cantrell

Home Sweet Home

Rating: 5.0

I am back,
And I have brought my dreams with me
I will cast them before all,
Who will take notice?
Peer deep within sequenced thoughts,
Penned with good intent,
For I am making beds for lovers
Sweeping clean the dunes of sand,
That anxious feet may make new paths
My dreams are heavy at times,
Yet, I have acquired many helpers

To those with cherry hot passions,
Through the tests of heating time,
Your love must be caramelized,
For only then can true love can become sweet

I also have a gift for those carrying the blues,
Pour your heart upon a prayer,
The ears of the one listening,
Understands,
He himself will lighten your load,
With no strings attached to your soul

To the one wanting a dream?
Why, you yourself are the eyes of blue,
How do you not know this?
What are you looking for?
In your doubt,
You have cut yourself short,
Yet, you are the truest blue
So you will have one assigned to you,
One to which your cravings will hold tightly
When he arrives,
Don't you dare let go!

Yes, I am back,
And I am full of poetry,
I will release that of which I have held back,
When you awake,
You will welcome sleep,
Once again

I can see the dream in the distrance. I reach, but I cannot grab it. But each day, I touched it. Perhaps tomorrow I will hold it in my hand. When I do, I will run with it and share all the passions again. What an inspiring write! Never lose the dream! !
