Horizons Poem by Bill Cantrell

Horizons

Rating: 5.0

Joy was an elusive drug
As a child, I soared so high
I could never touch the stars again,
No matter what I tried
Now at the end of my horizon,
I finally understand
The stars I tried so hard to touch
We're always in my hands

Bill, you have captured in such succinct form the tragic loss of a good friend. Such a heart-wrenching poem full of love and pathos. On some level, your friend has received it. And thanks you for it!

No matter what you have tried for but you have felt that horizon has carried joy for you. A brilliant poem is excellently penned.
