His Hand
His waxy smooth hand
Warm beneath my own
With life-blood flowing through
Blood from the place we all come from
I feel my origin in his blood-flow
My heartbeat is an echo of his
When he looks into my eyes
I see a challenge
'Are you sure? '
I gaze into his eyes
They are wells of inky blackness
Seeming to lead right back to my own soul
They reflect my doubts
And my fears
But most of all my love
Because we are one in this world
If only everyone could see what we see
But it doesn't matter
Because tonight is for us
His midnight black hand closes around my moon-pale white one
And we smile because we know the truth
