As the earth hides behind the sky
And the mountains within the clouds
Let us also hide within each other’s eyes
Let my lashes close, knowing you are beneath them
So that we may be hidden from the eyes of the world
May the stresses that besiege you
Dissolve like sugar in water
And the wrinkles of age
sink beneath the skins surface
Let time stand still as we hide in love
So that we may be hidden from the eyes of the world
