Priya Patel Poems

Shoulders wide

Carrying the untold
...

He cries silently

His tears watering
...

The plane finally takes off

My heart beats, or perhaps thump
...

He leaves today

My baby brother
...

He embodied a silent power
...

Taller than the trees

Long legs, wobbly knees
...

Between me and the moon

My secrets unfold
...

Humming birds whisper

Clouds rumble above
...

First drops of rain

After months of dry heat
...

Starry eyed

I fell onto your path
...

In between me

and the silvery moon
...

He touches me

With the way he smiles
...

Ticking time bomb

Slow reminder
...

I thirstily drink the poison
Like a vampire drinks blood
With just enough purpose in mind
...

Twiddling my chopsticks
Unsure what to do
Glancing around
Others look nervous too
...

I have climbed mountains
with you
Picked flowers from
your garden
Floated for hours
...

Twenty five minutes more
And your arms will be around me
We have waited so long
Your face I ache to see
...

Time stood still, a cliche I know
But for a few short hours
Time did stand still
...

With every doubt
That plagues my mind
I look deep in my heart
And I sometimes find
...

Can you hear it
The rapid beating
Can you feel it
The sweet anticipation
...

The Best Poem Of Priya Patel

I Am Here

Shoulders wide

Carrying the untold

Eyes weary and

Bloodshot red

One hand on work

The other on family

Mounting stresses

So many needs to be fed

Vices become

Necessary addictions

As new problems

Pile day after day

I can hear in your voice

The weariness and frustration

and I wish there was

something more I could say

So far away

But i'm always here

You can count on me

To be by your side

My shoulders

May be small

But for you my dear

My arms are open wide

Look up my love

The sky is there

He watches and

Carries your fear

Look around you

Feel the warmth

Of my love and

Remember, I am here
