Hey There Baby Brother Poem by Patricia Ruiz

Hey There Baby Brother

Hey there baby brother
It's me CHUBBIE with ALBERT and
RICHIE too
Hope you like the pictures we put inside
Your casket with you
Of you, your 3 big brothers and mommy
And daddy too
So you can remember our family and
We are with you
We just have some things to say
Like we love you baby brother
We are so sad that you could not stay
To grow up with us
To cause trouble with us
To laugh with us and to play
To tell each other goodnite
I love you bro,
sweetdreams
In the morning say
good morning ALBERT, CHUBBIE, RICHIE
and how was all your sleeps?
I'm sorry you cant be there to kiss
grandpa TONY goodnite
and say "see you in the mowwning"
I wish you could be there
In the bar to share
ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD
You would have loved to chill with nino
and watch some episodes
Of ridiculousness, you would've liked
that show, I know
Wanted to know your favorite type of
flavor of b day cake to eat
Wonder if you were just like us and liked
to run around bare feet
What was your favorite color?
red? Blue? Or was it greem?
Let's run outside and play baby brother
are you as fast as me?
I wouldve always shared my toys with you
If you broke it, it's ok
cause DADDY CAN FIX ANYTHING!
so excited that you would soon be here
Had so many things
I wanted to teach you
We would've played PS4
Of course I would've beat you
I was gonna teach you how to play
Our favorite game GTA
so I made sure you had your own
Controller to play
But I guess I'll never see that day
You still have your own controller
anyway
We were gonna have matching Jordan's
Too
And when mine didn't fit me no more
I was gonna give them to you
I'll never see
How good of a fighter youd be
Or see what it was youd do
To annoy me
Now I'll never yell at you for
Annoying me
Now I cant beat up RICHIE
For messing with you
You wont be here for me to tease
ALBERT doesn't get the chance
To stick up for you
cause he has a big huge heart like that
He's our big brother king#1
RICHIE is #3
I'm #2
And we all got big hearts too
No worries we know you have
A big heart too
Like all of us big brothers do
Stick together through it all
Is what us brothers do
So stick together through this all
Is what we're gonna do
No matter what we protect each other
So we'd protect you too
I know you would've fought WITH us
And know you would've fought
FOR us too
We dont mean to sound so rough
It's just what brothers do
If you were able to stay with us
You would understand this too
All 3 of us will now be missing out
On growing up with you
Christmas, new years
And thanksgiving too
4th of july and Easter
We will remember you
When us 3 trick or treat we'll think
What would #4 be dressed as
This Halloween?
When ALBERT graduates
How old will FRANKIE be?
And would he have played football?
And been on RICHIEs team?
After the game is over,
Will we still be here to remember you?
No matter what you'll be there with us
In our hearts
Where we will carry you
Are you watching over us in heaven
With grandma RITA too?
Please tell her that we love her
Her boy boy boys are doin fine
We know she'll take great care of you
And now you dont have to wait in line
To get to meet grandpa
His name is ALBERT too
We know great grandpa RUIZ
Will meet you up there too
So please tell them we love them too
Oh dont forget
Tell grandma RITA we said
Happy birthday too
Her birthday present this year
Was that she celebrated it with you
We know that you all are looking down
From heaven now
Watching us celebrating you
Its extra hard for us today to
Tell you goodbye
Sad and confused with lots to say
Remember we
Little soldiers stay strong though
So we will try not cry
Remember baby brother we love you
With all our hearts and souls and pray
That we get to meet again baby brother
Get to meet again one day
