Hey Pop!
I heard my grandson say
Two magical words
that brightens up my day

Hey Pop! Hey Pop!
Can we go out and play?
Hey Pop! Hey Pop!
What are we doing today?

Life's filled with wonders
seen through a child's eyes
A good Pop can help him
as he tries to find his way

I cherish every moment
when my grandson comes along
Want to help him understand
Teach him things to make him strong

Sometimes if you're lucky
you get a second chance
To watch a child grow and mature
Be there to lend a hand

Hey Pop! Hey Pop!
I think I hear him calling
I'll soon be off and running
trying to keep up with my grandson
