Her Smile Poem by Allen Steble The Philosophical Poet

Her Smile

Rating: 5.0

There was an innocence in her eyes
That seemed to illuminate from within
That innocence possessed a beauty
A beauty hidden from mortal eyes
I know she's aware of it
She uses it on poor fools like me
Fools who cast their theories
On how to dance with her mind
Her smile drives me wild
Wild like snow leopards in winter
I want to taste that precious smile
And make it grow wider on her face
Her face of untouched tanned snow
Uncorrupted by the pollution of society
Who knew beauty could be a weapon
A weapon designed to soften a man
Into the submission of her stare
Held in the shackles of her deep, dark eyes
