Her one friend got a Hummer.
The other a new Jeep.
I hate to tell you darling...
but, we are way too cheap!
What happened to the oldies?
A good ol' Chevy truck...
That's what you get so don't complain
or else you're out of luck.
We picked it up at auction.
It's deep purple and so cool.
I hope you don't mind driving
an '85 Chevy truck to school.
So, let them have their Hummers
their Hemi's and their cars.
Cause when we leave the mudhole
you can tow them home with ours.
Objection, your honour! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! I refuse to be towed, pushed, even looked at by a Chevy. Those times were good times, I did have a 1948 Chev Pickup with styleside and panorama windows (wrap around) . Fumes are in the air........ H
Very nice...my parents never even got me a car...but they taught me responsiblity and how to save fro something I wanted.
This is a light and funny poem. It made me smile. It also made me think of a hilarious 'guerilla' bumpersticker someone put on the back of a Hummer: 'I'm warming the planet. Ask me how.'
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Pleasing to hear and teasing a smile to every place. This is a 'down home' poem and very well done. Thanks. Raynette
