Her Bones



'Dig up her bones'

he whispered as they came across a meadow of wildflowers by the ocean.

She spent many nights laying covered by the flowers, listening to the crashing waves in the distance. The waves which the moon she stared up at controlled.

One day the earth decided to embrace her entirely, bringing her home.

He forgot she wasn't really from this world as he whispered to the creatures of the forest,

'Dig up her bones'
