Hearing Impaired Poem by Tirupathi Chandrupatla

Hearing Impaired

Sure I don't get
All that you say
I hope you follow
All that I utter.

Every effort I make
To understand what you say
I use devices time provided
To correct the disability age added.

Voice is amplified no doubt
But noise enters the dialogue
Turning it fuzzy somewhat
Can't figure out the truth.

I'll try to read your face
I'll try to read your lips
I'll try to read your mind
Your understanding's all I need.

Hope one day we'll find a new horn
That raises the voices well
And delivers into ears with clarity
To appreciate what is said.
