Have you not heard the croaking frog?
Have you not walked in the misty fog?
Have you not heard the crickets chirp?
Have you not made a baby burp?
Have you not heard the cougar's cry?
Have you not thought you were going to die?
Have you not worked in the summer's heat?
Have you not tasted something sweet?
Have you not seen the morning sunrise?
Have you not talked to someone wise?
Have you not heard the mourning dove?
Have you not had a pet to love?
Have you not hiked on a mountain trail?
Have you not seen the meadow's quail?
Have you not swum in a crystal lake?
Have you not seen a rattlesnake?
Have you not heard the bull snake hiss?
Have you not given a lover's kiss?
Have you not fished in a mountain stream?
Have you not dared to even dream?
Very nice. I have heard a cougar's cry, and it chilled me to the bone. I was just a young lad at the time, with no weapons whatsoever. I think I have done all of those things in my long life, some more than once, except perhaps hearing a bull snake hiss. I'm not sure if I have even seen a bull snake or would recognize one. Enjoyed the poem very much.

I have been within 10 feet of a cougar in the wild, and also of a coyote. Neither one attacked, thank God.
