Hard To Forget Unseen Bitterness Poem by Steven Adelman

Hard To Forget Unseen Bitterness

Hard to forget unseen Bitterness
first came when I was a child
& learned my name all too well
Tho a child I am no more
because when my dreams are sad I close the door
& wake up with the virtues and shapes surrounding I still adore

Un-sly approach attempting
epigrammatic speech
Always come back to the Rhyme
for it is the poets sweetest peach

My eyes they can be cool
but my tongue is caught on the vine of thorns
and I'm caught looking like the fool

I swear to language I shall not regress!
As musing vibrations
fold my hands and press
for a confession
'silver and blue
I'm dying to tell you
are the colored lining clouds
I bow to'

I mean no misrepresentation
in words of godly replacement
Like trying to hang a light in the basement of my heart

I'm standing here Awakened to some perfectly organized divine art

Old mountains tonics
& songs of birds
Like a musical phrase
Embellishing the Eyes wisdom
by tuning to bird songs and
Old mountain sky

Slowly leaning forward

& rocking back

A Humor in rhythmic breathing
and recognition of Heart beating

keeps every man and woman
on the earth bound crowned soul of railroad love tracks

Close your eyes
Open your heart
Illuminate the dance
The mirror is one!
We are not broken!
