Harassing Ignorance Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Harassing Ignorance

Remain to stay convinced...
That faith to keep.
And prayers to say daily.
With common sense to use as a tool,
Are the best defenses...
Against being manipulated,
To become one mentally abused.
Frustrated and duped until made a fool.

Look at the many,
Still embracing denial to face.
Disbelieving,
What is surrounding them taking place.
And most of it they gave permission to create.

Remain to stay convinced.
Confessing the making of mistakes to have made,
Is all one has to do to admit...
Their own ignorance to acknowledge it,
Begins a mending of unsolved problems to fix.
And denying an involvement,
Only prolongs unending conflicts.
With accusations to allow them made.
By those convinced common sense to use,
Are tools to escalate debates...
Into heated arguments to escape a chance,
Of wanting to win a victory they can not win.

"Using logic these days,
Is an effort to endeavor it wasted."

-But the difference is in the attempt,
Relentlessly to present it.
Eventually common sense embarrasses ignorance.-

"That continually done,
Some would call harassment! "

-Okay.
And your point to make,
Is what? -
