Happy Holiday Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

Happy Holiday

It is the season of good cheer,
Of sleigh bells and carolers,
Their music filling the air.
Time for houses in fancy holiday dress,
Time for trees with tinseled memories,
And teddy bears in fancy vest.
Time for shop windows with tiny
Diamond lights,
Time for candles blinking in windows,
Waking up the night.
Time for reindeer and santa flying
High above,
With deep expressions of love.
And best of all, a time to remember
The babe in the manger,
So sweet and so small,
The Blessed Lord Jesus,
Who died for us all.
Bringing gifts to young and old with
Deep expressions of love.
And best of all, a time to remember
