Happy Birthday To You Poem by Randy McClave

Happy Birthday To You

To you I wish a Happy Birthday
But, you are no longer here,
So, instead of blowing out a candle
I instead will wipe away another tear.
There will be no more Birthday cakes
Or even the traditional Birthday card,
No presents, but only a prayer for me to give
And of course no Birthday signs in my yard.
You have been gone away for sometime now
Sometimes I don't know not what to do,
But, I still have all of your pictures and memories
So, another Happy Birthday, I wish unto you.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My last surviving older passed away a year ago, then my mom passed away last month, so I wrote this poem from a dream.
