Happiness Around Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Happiness Around

Not free and fair
When we utter
Few words in dishonor
For woman especially mother

She remains at home
To welcome
Husband and children
To make the home a real heaven

What are we doing?
What steps we taking to bring
Happiness around
It is missing and not found

Judiciary is seized with problems
Of special and privileged people
The terrorists are being heard at mid night
Poor are facing batons, teargas shells to fight for right

Deprived and destitute
Remain mute
At apathy and idleness
How come we fail to bring smile on their face?
