You got down on one knee
You asked to marry you

Speechless words
Tears fall.
Is it joy?
Or is it fear?

Trust is one thing you lack.
I don't know what to say.
Or what to do

My heart says yes
But my mind says no.
Why do I doubt you so?

All I can do is say yes.
Maybe this will pass.
My heart skips
When you take my hand.

You looked in my eyes
Told me you loved me
And walked away.

I love you
I whispered to myself.
In this darkness I stand

Waiting for you
Hand in hand...
