Guiding Lights Poem by Jean Dament

Guiding Lights

Rating: 5.0

Lights illuminate to guide us on our way,
The sun, stars & moon shine for us each day,
Light bulbs glow within our homes,
To comfort & keep out the darkness of the great unknown,
Vehicles, ships & lighthouses are lit to guide us through the storms in our life;
While we're tossed & turned about with much strife,
Bonfires, candles, Christmas trees & fireplaces, when ignited charm & cast their soothing spells;
As folks sit cozily side by side sharing in some inspiring or haunting tales that they must tell,
Thrilling & satisfying the listeners' souls,
Many lights exist to befriend & assist us, while meeting our goals,
But the brightest light that shines on today,
Is God's divine light of love, that helps us especially when we pray.
