Tethered we are with
Perennial cords
'A meant to be'
That began
Decades ago

Two strangers
Once we were
But not for long

You swept me up
From a certain
Early grave
And showered me
With endless
Understanding
And love

In sickness and
In health we
Have always been
A vow truly
Honored

Realization of
Our status of
Absolute soulmates
Arrived about
A decade ago

As we began the
Remainder of our
Life journey
As one
Much, much older

Time gave us your
Head covered in white
Mine just sprinkled
With much aching
of our bones and
Other daily trials

Moving slower but
Together-mind-
Mind, body, and
Spirit

Perhaps i do not
Know much but i
Do know that God
Lead me to you
And we became
'The meant to be'
Many golden years
Ago

Today, we face
All of lifes
Challenges
As we grow
Old together
Still very much
Tethered
