Gray Weary Days Poem by Marilyn Lott

Gray Weary Days

Rating: 5.0

You know those times when the sky is gray
And you wonder if there’s strength for another day
And you slump right down in your comfortable chair
But no matter what you think about you really don’t care?

Well, at times like this I’ll tell you, my friend
You gotta reach inside and you have to bend
Yes, inside yourself there’s a sunny spot
Where hopes and dreams are ‘cause it’s all you’ve got

That you can be sure of, where you have control
You’ve gotta find happy cause sadness takes its tole
And drags you down till your senses are dim
Don’t stay there for long for it hurts you, my friend

So whenever you’re weary and you’re having no fun
Look deep in yourself ‘till you’ll stumble on some sun!
