Gravid Cloud Poem by saadat tahir

Gravid Cloud

Rating: 2.5

Tinged with yellow the gravid cloud
Cracks with gusto, reflects her proud
Puffed up, highlighted villain stands
Holding out his outstretched hands

Come my love he too says
Pointing to far off heathen lays
Hides his growl to a tender purr
She knows too well the hidden slur

Come my love just this once
Bereft of tender lasting nuance
I wish to lift you off your feet
Slowly take to the flowery sheet

Levitate you off your tender toes
Together in earthy lustful throes
The cloud is mute, silent, pained
Slumped, is eternal weeping drained

Splendid write! What could a reader ask for more? Beautiful rhyme wonderful imagery and a story many of us could relate. The end ~ sad air left me with my hand on the left side of my chest: deep sigh. Thank you!
