Goodbye Poem by Ishmael E. Balfour

Goodbye

We had our moments,

We had our time in the sun,

Shared secrets and trusted each other,

Laugh and love in each other's arm,

Kiss and cuddle until it was time go home,

Holding hands when it was cold,

In the end we all fall apart,

Never was meant to be,

One move on and the other stays,

Waiting for again chance to be with that one,

Sometimes we get back together and others we don't,

Until one day we look back at them,

Say our goodbye and just move on,

We think we left the past behind,

But everything others do remind you how bad,

You're hurt not living in the past,

Where you were happy at last,

Sadly now watch others dance in the sun,

Oh, those are the days we want so bad,

Being alone isn't fun,

Only because they don't want to trust again,

So the other one understands,

Put their heart into someone else hands,

And hope this time it will be a happy end.
