God In Me Poem by Yewande Adedokun

God In Me

Tribulation increases in height
And it seems I have not grown an inch
Trials rush over me like an ocean wave
With no clue where to turn or run
I take it all upon myself and more.

Somehow I am still standing
Somehow I forget yesterday's hurdles
If anything, it is what fights me that turns to shadows
Though it seem I can't go for long like this
I even pray I do not
But it must be God in me, withstanding and braving it all
