Glorious History

Glorious history

History has not repeated
but elevated
our spirit of nationalism
coupled with the humanism

our civilization has survived
the tradition and customs are revived from time to time
their sacrifice has not gone into vain

the traditional 'forgive and forget' has remained at our core
the old warriors were symbols of nationalism
who fought heroic battles and saved the kingdom
bled to death on the battlefield
and held the sway along with an honour

some glaring examples of leaving battle has their importance
it was life's important chance
I would love to cite an example of Maharana Pratap
who preferred to hide in mountains only to gain freedom

Another example is of Lord Krishna
who left the field to kill an evil
he earned the name of 'Ranchhold' which means deserter
to make the world happier

recent examples are of inferior nature
let us not cite their examples here
whether it is a refuge of scoundrels
or self-style to earn laurel
