Girl's Woe Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Girl's Woe

Girl's woe
Tuesday,25th May 2021

Your life was silenced
as you had the feeling of being tense
you sensed danger
that someone may fire at and kill you later

what can be the end for the rapist?
will anyone trust?
was he doing it only for the lust?
I must not bother much

it sends me to shiver
and I feel anger
how did he attack like a wild animal?
with the sole intention of raping a minor girl!

I couldn't believe eyes
when he tried
with all his power to molest
destroyed the modesty with wild intent

you were imprisoned
and condemned
with the strict social warning
not to repeat it to any human beings

you had levelled the allegations
in the courtroom
God forbid me for saying
'You met your end lying with the gun wounds'

God never pardons
such inhuman people
who not only break civil norms
but create terror to normal people
