Girls In Trees Poem by Annabel Cruz

Girls In Trees

Rating: 4.8

(for Isabel and Olivia)

Twiggy arms and twiggy legs
Dangling from the twiggy trees
Leaves a-flutter, hair a-flutter
Swaying in the breeze

Elbows, knees and robins’ nests
Tucked in hidden places
Furry tails and feathered wings
Swing with laughing faces

chirps and giggles intermingle
floating through the air
building nests and slaying dragons
in their magic lair
